Abstract

As a country where most of the nazi extermination camps were located and from which a great part of nazi victims proceeded, Poland has produced a huge number of writers who faced Shoah topics. Amongst them, the most interesting was probably Tadeusz Borowski, whose Farewell to Maria shows a vision completely apart from those of the rest of international Holocaust prose writers. Inexplicably, his art and his testimony remain almost unknown in the Hispanic world.
