Abstract

Manuel Barbadillo Rodríguez. Una vida entre vinos y versos by José Jurado Morales, Professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Cádiz, is an overview of the life and work of this author from Sanlúcar. The result of thorough and careful research, this volume offers a broad overview of the author's life and shows how the poetic imagination of a man who spent his life away from the main cultural centres in order to serve his family business, one of the most important wineries in the province of Cádiz, is constructed. A meticulous and perfectly objective study which, nevertheless, often takes on a very intimate tone thanks to the participation of some members of Manuel Barbadillo's family in the development of the volume.
