In this article I study Juventud unida, the collected poetry of Mariano Blatt, published in its latest version in 2022, including texts since 2006. The lyrical subject is constructed through the deconstruction of the ideology of dominant masculinity: he does not stand as a "man" but as “boy”, lover and friend of other “boys”, in horizontal relationships that reproduce and eternalize the affective intensities of an imaginary ambiguous age between childhood, adolescence and a type of adulthood that never becomes consolidated as such. At the same time, his poetic voice plays at disguising itself as non-poetic and, simultaneously, hyper-poetic. The heterodox movement of his writing is twofold: on the one hand, he repudiates the codes of traditional masculinity, re-appropriating some of its aspects to subvert them; on the other, he takes up, remaking them at will, the conventions of poetry itself as a literary genre.
