Abstract

In this paper we analyse Albert Camus' l iterary work from a cross-myth perspective based on the influence of four classical myths: Prometheus, Sisyphus, Ulysses and Oedipus. The construction of a mythical microsystem with Prometheus as a focal point permits us to establish different relationships among the myths, paying special attention to the figure of Oedipus, in order to give a new approach to Camus' literary production.
