Abstract

The discourse proposed by multiculturalism is not new, which does not mean that projects aimed at promoting equality among cultures are obsolete, but quite the opposite. The balance of cultures is becoming increasingly unstable amid fears of losing supposed acquired rights. Therefore it is necessary to put forward proposals and projects that will open minds and lines of research. Our proposal comes from Adult Music Education and the inclusion of older people through the musics of the world. This proposal also puts into practice two hypotheses: on the one hand, the social and educational inclusion of children’s fathers/mothers/guardians, and on the other, the social and educational inclusion of these children. It is, then, a project which has been developed over two years in the Community of Valencia for inclusive education, but with the possible extension and implementation of the above areas. The activities are proposed by different participants, within a framework that includes the largest possible number of musical forms and genres.
