La inmovilización de enzimas permite una mejora significativa de su estabilidad, lo que hace posible su empleo en la producción industrial de productos químicos, farmacéuticos, alimentos; en el tratamiento de residuos; en el diagnóstico y tratamiento de enfermedades, y otras muchas aplicaciones. En esta revisión se analizan los diferentes métodos de inmovilización de enzimas, y el efecto sobre las propiedades catalíticas y la estabilidad de los biocatalizadores obtenidos.
