Abstract
The fluorescence quenching of carbazole by tropanic alkaloids in ciclohexane has been studied in the steady-state. The results obtained supports hydrogen-bond formation both in the ground and excited states. The values of the equilibrium constants are Kg 18.0 M-1 Y 158 < Ke < 430 M-1 both for the ground and excited states respectively.
