Abstract

Conventional polarographic methods for determining overall stability constants in reversible metallic reductions have been regarded. Deford and Hume's method, as applied to the Cd(II)-salicylate-perchlorate system, showed the existence of complexes 1:1 and 1:2 with stability constants β1=3,4 and β2=26,7 respectively, at 303 K.
