Abstract
A study is pressented about the extraction and quantitative analysis of tropane alkaloids, aplicable both to plant and farmaceutical products. The extraction step for plant tissues is carried out quantitatively, grounding the sample, packing it in a glass column and eluting the alkaloid salts with a H2S04, 0' 1 N solution. Alkaloids are extracted with chlorophorm from medicinal products, at basis pH and quantified by gas liquid chromatography. By this method reconveries are better than 95 % for the alkaloids and no internal degradation of samples is observed during the chromatographic process.
