Abstract
It has been determined copper, iron, zinc and manganese in 62 samples of canned vegetables by atomic adsorption spectrophotometry. Levels of copper, higher than the ones allowed by law have not been found. The concentrations of iron, zinc and manganese were found in the analyzed food in the same order of demand of human organismo The levels of copper found in some groups of canned food (some fruits and vegetables) were low. In canned animal food, copper was not found in 9 samples and in another thre ones the level of 1 ppm was not reached.
