Abstract
A study is carried on rats with distal resection of 50% and 80 % of small intestine at six months and ayear from the surgical intervention, and intacts rats of the nutritional value of protein and fat. So the digestive and metabolic use of protein, it appears the almost total recuperation on these animals at this time from the intervention (6 months and a year). However, the digestive utilization of fat only presents signes of partial recuperation at 6 months after resection, while at ayear it 's noticed and irreversible fall. The time past (6 m. and 1 y.), conducts at a disminution of the food intake and the proteic and lipidic absorption, and a smaller retention of nitrogen.
