Abstract
A spectrophotometric study of the reaction of acetoin and semicarbacide, previour axodation of acetoin to acetaldehyde to give acetaldehyde-semicarbazona has been realized. Beer's law is obeyed for the range 4,4.10-2 -and 2,6.10-1 mg of acetoin. The extinction coefficient of acetaldehyde-semicarbazone has been determinated and the value found is E223 = 10.133 M-1 L cm-1. The posibility of determination of acetoin by this spectrophotometric method has been confirmed.
