Consuming at least 400 grams of fruit and vegetables each day - principle and goal of healthy eating and cardiovascular health

En 2015, la Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU) aprobó la Agenda 2030 de Desarrollo Sostenible, ruta para que los países y sociedades transiten hacia una mejor vida para todos, sin dejar a nadie atrás. La Agenda define 17 ODS, que van desde la erradicación de la pobreza hasta contrarrestar el cambio climático. En el área de la salud, el ODS-3 establece “garantizar una vida sana y promover el bienestar para todos en todas las edades” y como meta 3.4 “reducir en un 33% la mortalidad prematura por enfermedades no transmisibles” (crónicas), mediante la prevención y tratamiento, acompañadas de la promoción de la salud y el bienestar de toda la población.
