New possibility for obtaining of 7 -[2-( ethylsulfonyl)-ethyl]-l ,3-dimethylxanthine and 1-[2-( ethylsulfonyl)-ethyl]-3, 7-dimethylxanthine and kinetics assessment of the reaction
Abstract
A new possibility of obtaining of 7-[2-(ethylsulfonyl)ethyl]-1 ,3-dimethylxanthine and 1-
[2-(ethylsulfonyl)ethyl]-3,7-dimethylxanthine - derivatives with potential biologic activity
is presented.
With aim to obtain the title compounds in optimal yield and purity, the influence of the
molar ratio of the reactants, reaction medium and role of acid catalyst on the progress of
the reaction was investigated. The optimal reaction time was determined and the dependence
of yield and reaction time was established.
