Shadows, Thresholds, and Auras: The Philological Crossroads of Ulysses in the Dialogue between Piero Boitani and Haroldo de Campos

This article highlights a dialogue between the literary critic Piero Boitani and the Poet Haroldo de Campos about Ulysses, specifically in The Shadow of Ulysses. Within Boitani’s philological and critical projection of Ulysses’ shadow, this analysis considers its thresholds, its aura, and its parodic perspective in terms of “transcreation” as defined by Haroldo de Campos.
