Abstract

Disability is a challenge for all people who need to move from one point to another every day, this because cities are designed for people with standard characteristics. These designs make it difficult to use transportation systems, which has a direct impact on the quality of life of people with disabilities.

This study seeks to measure the quality of transport services used by students with some type of disability at the Technological University of Panama on the Víctor Levi Sasso Campus. The main factors of urban mobility and how it impacts the integration of students into society are described. Through the application of a survey, it is possible to measure the quality perceived by students when using transport services and the main deficiencies in urban mobility are described.

Based on the results obtained, recommendations are presented so that they can contribute to inclusive thoughts, which promote changes in urban mobility systems in Panama, with which it is no longer a challenge, but a way to ensure the integration of students with disabilities.
