Response to diversity in rural school. A case study

Introduction: Rural schools are a teaching alternative that is sometimes forgotten in the educational reality. However, these centers offer, due to their location, their characteristics and their peculiarities, a series of advantages for the attention of students with special educational needs.
Method: This article includes the design, development and analysis of a quantitative and qualitative educational research based on a case study, carried out in a rural Andalusian school located in Málaga. The purpose of this research is to analyze how positive is for a student being in a rural school, the influence of this environment on their educational inclusion.
Results: The results obtained demonstrate the main hypotheses raised, the positive influence that the specific characteristics of rural schools have for students related to schools and teachers ‘implication and methodologic techniques used.
Conclusions: Conclusions reveal the positive influence that the specific characteristics of rural schools have on students.
