Learning how to teach social sciences. The past we do not forget

In the initial training of primary education teachers, it is important to consider the teacher’s previous experience on learning and teaching social sciences. It has been used as a methodological strategy to develop the Didactics of social sciences syllabus, linking it to an approach to the school’s reality. This methodology enables the teacher to be introduced to research-action activity, taking the training process itself as subject matter, and taking a diagnostic approach to how social sciences are taught and learnt in primary education.
