About the Journal

Subject matter and scope

UNES. Universidad, Escuela y Sociedad (University, School and Society) is a scientific journal that has been published every six months since 2016; two issues a year, in digital format. Every two years a special issue focuses on one topic.

The Department of Social Sciences Pedagogy at the University of Granada is charged with the scientific publication, with the University of Granada Press (Editorial de la Universidad de Granada) participating in its issuance.

Its main objective is the scientific dissemination of articles, innovative teaching experiences, and book reviews promoting the development of Social Sciences Pedagogy and related sciences, such as Heritage Education. These contributions shine a light on research and practices from all over the world, with texts in Spanish, English, Portuguese and Italian being accepted.

The evaluation of the teaching innovation articles and experiences is governed by a system featuring two phases: a first one involving internal evaluation by the Associate Editors, and a second based on external evaluation via a double-blind peer system. The acceptance of contributions for other sections of the journal (interviews and reviews) is the responsibility of the group of Associate Editors.

The final decision is communicated to the author and, if the submission has been declined, the material received is immediately destroyed. In certain cases, the editorial staff may write the authors, indicating possible modifications that would make publication of the article possible.

UNES. Universidad Escuela y Sociedad is indexed on the following databases: ROAD, Dulcinea LATINDEX, DIALNET and REDIB.

The opinions expressed in the different works published are the sole responsibility of their authors.
