Abstract

Our goal is to collect the examples of representation of Santiago el Mayor in Santiago de Chile taking into account its provenance and use. For this we work with the documentary sources in the Cathedral and the main convents, the texts of colonial period, the current bibliography, and the fieldwork with the works of art. The result is a list of twenty pieces that allows us to reflect on the small presence of images of the Apostle in a city attributed to his name.
