Abstract

The comprehension of Manila as artistic and architectonic scenery involves taking into account different nationalities located not only inside Intramuros, but also in suburbs. The British attack of 1762, and the later modification of the wall and its nearness would change definitively this area of the city. Differents locations of the Parian have been placed among these suburbs, forgetting the Japanese quarter. Fortunately, the archival documentation recently discovered has allowed tackling a wider analysis of its architectonic features before its destruction in the second half of the eighteenth century.
