Abstract

Knowing the evolution of cultural relations between Spain and Mexico throughout the nineteenth century is necessary and essential to understand their political, diplomatic and historical development. Also, it was key in processes of hispanophobia, hispanophilia, imaginary and representations arisen on each side of the Atlantic. Attempts of rupture and periods of ignorance that would lead to a progressive approach and a common goal: to strengthen ties.

Elvira Moreno Moreno, Universidad de Granada

Investigadora doctoral de la Universidad de Granada. Centra sus estudios en las relaciones a nivel cultural y contactos establecidos entre España y México a finales del siglo xix y comienzos del siglo xx, habiendo realizado estancias de investigación en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México y en la Dirección de Estudios Históricos del Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia de México, optando su tesis a la Mención de Excelencia Internacional.
