Abstract

In the article an analytic study of the novel in verse “Eugene Onegin” by A.S. Pushkin based on a linguistic and stylistic analysis is given. It permits to develop student’s capacity of comprehension of poetic forms, establish relations between the direct and fi gurative senses and perceive the literary language. Studies of this type are essential for the modern methodology of forming of student’s leaning skills in teaching of Russian literature at universities. As an example, the everyday life descriptions, specifi cally the gastronomical customs, in the work by A.S. Pushkin and their function in the characterization of the personages are analyzed.
