Realization of the Meaning of a Proverb in the Literary Text

The paper focuses on problems of proverbs’ use in texts of fi ction. Cognition-discourse model of proverb’s sense actualization is presented which helps to reveal the au-thor’s message through proverbial scenario realized in context and resulting from proverb’s semantics and the author’s communicative strategy.
