Abstract

This article examines the dynamics of changes in nurses’ uniforms as a refl ection of the changing social status of the profession. The authors consider the evolution of nurses’ uniforms and their fi gurative expressiveness as an integral part of the history of ethnic signifi cation in relation to the field of nursing. With regard to the uniform, understanding of its style has become necessary as an egalitarian requisite of professional erudition.
