Abstract

This article analyses the Russian evaluative adjective приятный (‘pleasant’) and compares its evaluative semantic content with the Spanish adjective ‘agradable’. The comparative analysis is carried out bearing in mind the following parameters: type of evaluative meaning, position in the scale of evaluative meanings, relation with reality, frequency of use in the language and style.
