Abstract

This article considers phraseology within the framework of ethnolinguistics. It is shown that the formation of syntactical phraseological units (SPU) has an ‘ethnotextual’ basis. In discussing this phenomenon, it is argued that SPU are a powerful means of acculturation and constitute the basis for producing national cultural concepts.
