Fifty years of Modern Hebrew Literature

Abstract

This paper deals with teaching and works about Modern Hebrew Literature that ha ve been carried out in Spain by a small group of people during the last fifty years. Since this subject is relatively recent at the Spanish University, an almost exhaustive history of these activities is offered which is preceded by sorne reflections on modern Israeli literature as a specific social fact of a built community.
