Abstract

This paper analyses Vives' valuation -positiv as well as negativ-on several postulates of importance within the scope of classical rhetoric. Three fragments of his masterpiece De disciplinis, that is to say, De corrupta rhetorica, De rhetorica and De imitatione, constitute our documentary basis for the purpose.
