The cult to Hellenistic queens is bound to the very origin of ruler cult, that rested, at the beginning, on Greek traditions of divinization of mortals. Thus the dynastic cult -including both women and men-, although not developped in Macedonia, rested on the heroic nature of the Macedonian monarchy, and, in spite of late different local evolutions with decisive influences from the new-conquered regions, the original idea was essentially Greek.Downloads
