Abstract

We analyze the epigraphical trace ofthe roman name Flavius in Hispania Baetica. We study the onomastic, socioeconornic and ideological characteristics of the members of the gens Flavia in this province. showing its peculiarities in the onomastic background of Baetica and its contribution to the romanization and urban process.
