Abstract

The gens Valeria in Central Europe is able to compete quantitatively with those of the imperial names. Attending to epigraphical sources, we analyze the incidence the Valerii in the onomastic map of the roman provinces of Rhaetia and Noricum. We study the characteristics and peculiarities of its members' personal names, and also their links with other families in these provinces.
