Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze the Parodos of Euripides' Bacchai as a litterary masterpiece which seems to be the comerstone embracing all the themes which will be developped in the drama. The author offers a greek text (with a colometry slightly different from that of Murray-Dodds in sorne parts) and a spanish translation alongside. He then examines the compositional structure of the Parodos, the metric structure, the semantic field of "dionysism", and traces the stylistic means through which the poet enhances his message in the phonic, lexematic and sintagmatic levels.
