Abstract

Sorne morphological altematives have been traditionally considered as archaisms, used in poetry for metrical convenience. However, even if they are archaisms, they should not probably be interpreted in the same way. The comparison between them in each poet, on the one hand, and between poets who use them, on the other hand, could help to define these differences. In this context, the article focuses singular genitive in -ai and its particular treatment by Lucretius.
