"Omero, Iliade" by the ltalian writer Alessandro Baricco is the result of a interesting literary experiment: the adaptation of the homeric poem for a public reading. Since as the original text required fourty hours to be read in public, Baricco reduced it and rewrote it to adapt it to musicality of the Italian language and made severa! additions in order for the story to make sense.
