Abstract

A descriptive and cross-sectional study is presented with the objective of finding out the relationship between mathematics failure, teaching-learning process, and social relations among students of the Escuela Superior de Ciencias Económicas of the Universidad Autónoma de Guerrero, Mexico. The data that generated the information were acquired through the application of a questionnaire. It is shown that to develop an adequate mathematical level there are factors related to the teaching and learning process and to the multiple social relationships that exist concomitantly in this process involving students, teachers and educational institutions.
