Abstract

The cathedral museum in Guadix, recently renovated, contains six of a series of eight paintings in oil on copper, representing scenes from the Old Testament. Three features of this set make it of great artistic value within its context: their undoubtedly Flemish nature, their iconographic content and the important characteristics of the technique used.
