Resumen

La convergencia entre lo artístico y lo científico/técnico en la investigación basada en arte (IBA) ha estado siempre acompañada de polémicas. El artículo que se presenta gira en torno a este debate y surge con el interés de avanzar en su comprensión, profundizando en las bases axiológicas, ontológicas, epistemológicas y metodológicas de la IBA. Se comienza exponiendo los principales paradigmas y armazones teóricos-filosóficos que dan fundamento a la IBA, para más tarde reflexionar sobre las bases metodológicas de investigación en IBA y sus criterios de validez y confiabilidad.
