Use of a stable solution of Tillmans in xylene for extemporaneous use of an aqueous solution of the reagent
Abstract
volume of a stable solution of Tillmans in xylene is used to obtain an aqueous solution of reagent, for application in volumetric determinations. It has the great advantage that the extraction of Tillmans reagent, observing the indicated conditions, is total and consequently equivalent to a precise amount of ascorbic determinable once for all by a standard solution of vitamin. It is applicable in the evaluation of ascorbic fruit and possibly galenic preparations.Downloads
