Abstract

A study of the action of 68 different bacteria dissolving dicalcium phosphate was made on phosphorite; it only resulted in 12 phosphorus releasing strains.

The mobilization of phosphorus by the more active strains from phosphorite in liquid medium was studied, and a significant release of phosphorus was observed.
