COLOR Y RADIOACTIVIDAD EN ZIRCONES
Abstract
Se relacionan la radioactividad y la estabilidad de color de tres tipos de zircón frente a diversas fuentes de energía (calor, luz ultravioleta y fuente de radio). Los cambios de color nos permiten, junto con la curva de deshidratación y el análisis térmico diferencial, deducir la influencia de la radioactividad de las muestras sobre la estructura responsable de color. Se demuestra la existencia de H2O, y la ausencia de OH, en el zircón de Expailly.
