Observaciones sobre el Parasitismo en Granada por Ascaridia Galli

Se realiza un estudio del parasitismo por Ascaridia galli, en gallina doméstica, mediante el examen port-morten de intestinos de 5.534 aves sacrificadas para su venta y consumo, procedentes de una zona territorial evaluada en unos 50 kilómetros de radio alrededor de Granada, en el período de tiempo comprendido entre 1.º de febrero de 1959 y 30 de abril de 1960. El número de aves parasitadas por Ascaridia galli ascendió a 1.719, lo que arroja un 31 ± 6 % de parasitación, con un máximo del 50 % en noviembre de 1959 y un mínimo del 20 % en enero de 1960. El total de ejemplares de Ascaridia galli recolectado fue de 15.226, casi en su totalida.l adultos. El número de gusanos por intestino varió desde uno hasta 191, siendo los más frecuentes los que sólo contenían un parásito. La proporción de machos hallados fue del 36'5 % del total de individuos (aproximadamente un macho por cada dos hembras). La frecuencia de infestación es diferente en los distintos meses del año, existiendo cierto paralelismo entre los aumentos de temperatura ambiental y el incremento de infestaciones, con una diferencia temporal de tres meses explicable como período biológico comprendido entre la puesta del huevo y la fase adulta del nematode.Downloads
