Methods: The collected data have been taken from publications and The National Statistics Institute website (INE).
Results: Results show a declining trend in infant mortality from tetanus over the studied years and until year 1982, after which more cases are not recorded.
Conclusions: The mortality from tetanus in Spain which has been approximately one third of all deaths from tetanus, has declined to almost disappear, due to the childhood immunization campaigns.
