Abstract
The Latinamerican Academy of Pharmacy was founded by an ordinance of May 2nd, 1990. The proposal was elevated by the Counsellor of Education and Science after resolution of the Board of Counsellors and by demand of the Faculties of Pharmacy at Gninada and Sevilla, the Professional Board of Pharmacists of Spain and of Andalucía. This work describes the negotiation followed since the initial proposal until the official foundation. A relation of Academicians is given and the foundational speeches of the Counsellor and the most aged member of the Academy are also included.
