Abstract

Three species of Bartramia Hedw. growing in Spain have been investigated: B. ithyphylla Brid., B. pomiformis Hedw. and B. stricta Brid., for the presence of volatils and lipids. The results demostrate that these species contain monoterpenes, sesquiterpenes and diterpenes. Its lipid pattern is typical of mosses.
