Abstract
Nuestro estudio se centra en la Universidad de Granada, y mas concretamente en el nuevo Plan de Estudios que para la misma aprobó Carlos ID, recogida en una Real Provisión de 1776. En este nuevo plan no aparece la Facultad de Farmacia, pero sí que encontramos su semilla. Dentro de los estudios de Medicina está el apartado: «De la Botica y Laboratorio Chyrnico-Farmaceutico». Estas dos unidades estaban programadas para la formación de los médicos y también, para la nueva creación de «Boticarios de profesión». Los hechos no sucedieron como se preveía, las razones del porqué y circunstancias han sido nuestro objetivo.
