Abstract

The effect of thioure and kinetin on radicle emergence and etylene production in Cicer arietinum L. seeds has been studied. Thiourea (50 mM) and kinetin (10 μM) applied exogenously are able to overcome the inhibitory effects of supraoptimal temperatures in relation to the germination porcentage. Both higher temperatures and thourea decrease ethylene production,
however kinetin increases it.
