Abstract
We try to analyze the Spanish Pharmacopoeia IV edition, through the critic view of D. Diego Jenaro Lletguet, who was professor of Experimental Pharmacy in San Fernando College in Madrid. This has been possible because we had in our hands the notes of a pupil, his name was D. Manuel Fernández de la Rubia.
