Abstract
A study on biological degradation of soils have be en carried out in the sector placed between Sierra de Guajaras and Albuñuelas river, using the FAO methodology. Climate and soil factors have been valuated, having into account the % of Ca CO3 and the texture (mean percentages at 30 cm depth). The soils were divided into three main groups: in the first one there are those soils with DB values oscillating between null and light, the second one shows moderate potential biological degradation values, and finally the last one including soils with a high biological degradation.
