Abstract
Se hace un estudio de la obra "Secretos de Chirurgía", Valladolid 1567, del cirujano español Pedro Arias de Benavides, en base a su riqueza informativa sobre la materia médica americana que él conoció en su ejercicio profesional tanto en España como en Guatemala, Honduras, Méjico y Santo Domingo.
